| Zee walked into the cafe. He had been here before, and he returned for the coffee. Every day, he took the same seat by the window, and tried to finish writing his song. However, he seemed to be stuck on the first two lines. "Feel the darkness smiling/ every note is dying," over and over and over. He knew this was most certainly wrong, and it could not end. He knew what beat should go in the next line, he just knew not what it should say, what it should mean. It was annoying him today, so he just turned on his music and let it play over his large headphones as he waited for his coffee. He thanked the person as they brought it and leaned back in his chair, staring out the window. It was a bright day, as always, in Death City. | |

| "Here you are sweetie~" The shuffled pacing of the elderly waitress brought Jade to her attention As a steaming cup of hot chocolate was placed on the wooden table in the youth's reach. Taking her gaze off the light crack that flawed the surface, she met the womans crinkled smile with one of her own masked grins that was good enough for the woman to carry on with her own business. By the time the lady was out of site, the mask pursed back to its neutral line. Shes weird... Jade thought to herself as the hot edge of her mug met her lips for a sample. "Ouch!" she hissed, putting the cup back down to moisten the burned spot of her tongue in an attempt to cool the pain. The flawless structure to her face forming into that of clear irritation and displeasure. Like any normal being, she didn't like pain.
After the beverage cooled down to the point of which she could stand the temperature, she sampled her drink again. Closing her eyes as the delicious, creamy flavor of chocolate ran down her throat.Giving off the sensation of warmth from her head, all the way down to her toes. Within seconds, her mug was empty. Leaving only a small dark ring of remains of what her order was. Rising from her seat, she turned and looked around the room for her waitress. Noticeably upset when she wasn't in sight. A waiter passed her by and immediately was seized by the cuff of his white jacket. Clear blue eyes widening in shock at the action but his composure was soon collected. "m-may i help you miss?" Jade blinked, her pale indigo eyes fixing on to his as a dazzling smile appeared as she answered calmly, releasing her grip just a little. "Ah, yes. this place serves a beverage called hot chocolate? It was very good the first time i tried some and i would really like another.Could you bring me some?"
The bottom edge of her lip pouted out slightly as her body tilted horizontally across the table when she grabbed him. Dark locks of hair spilled down her back contrasting rather nicely with the well fitted crimson dress that she wore. The waiter swallowed to bring back the lost moisture in his mouth before finally smiling, rather nervously as he nodded. "Of course madam, right away!" And with that, he was gone. Leaving Jade rather satisfied as she regained her correct posture at the table. The tips of her slender fingers thrumming against the table in harmony to the music that played from someones headphones.
"hmm...not bad at all." | |

| Zee noticed the happenings outside of the corner of his eyes. The girl a table away from him seemed to be rather abrupt and direct, to say the least. He waited till the waiter walked away, and looked at what he was writing down on his pad. "One hot chocolate, watch out for the girl at table 7." He laughed a bit at this. He reached into his pocket and stopped the music, but left his headphones on. He turned on his chair to look at the girl and went "You know, they are actually known for their coffee here. The owner does not like to admit it, but he makes the best in all of Death City." He took another sip of his, and then leaned back in his chair. He left the music off. It was not helping him finish the song. "Have you ever thought "This would be awesome if I could just finish it," and never been able to finish whatever it is?" He stared off at the ceiling, listening for her reply, while replaying the small snippet of it he had thought of over and over. | |
